The College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is an engineering college engaged in teaching, research and training in the fields of electric, electronics, information communication, automation and control. There are 96 faculty members, including 63 full-time teachers. Among them, there are 13 professors and 19 associate professors, and those with senior titles account for 51%. 52 (83%) of them hold doctoral degrees. The College has pooled over 40 high-level talents, including candidates for the National Talents Program, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions to the country, experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, candidates for the Provincial Talents Program, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions to Zhejiang Province, and candidates for Zhejiang Provincial 151 Talent Program. There are 1,043 undergraduate students and 137 graduate students.

The College currently has three first-level disciplines: electrical engineering, electronic science and technology, and information and communication engineering. Among them, electrical engineering is a first-class discipline in Zhejiang Province and is qualified to grant the master’s degree. There are a total of 13 national, provincial and municipal research platforms, such as the national and local joint engineering laboratories for electrical digital design technology, Zhejiang engineering laboratory for electrical digital design, Zhejiang low-voltage electrical engineering technology research center, Zhejiang Wenzhou low-voltage electrical technology innovation service platform, Zhejiang photoelectric functional devices and digital testing international science and technology cooperation base, the photovoltaic micro-grid engineering center on the user side of the machinery industry, and Zhejiang Wenzhou photovoltaic energy service center of the laser and optoelectronic technology innovation service platform. It has a key technology innovation team for smart grid low-voltage electrical appliances in Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang engineering laboratory for electrical digital design—coastal engineering special power technology innovation team, a high-level innovation team for smart electrical technology and applications in Zhejiang Province, and Wenzhou smart grid low-voltage electrical appliances technical team, key innovation team of Wenzhou Internet of Things technology, Wenzhou electrical digital design technology national and local joint project “high-level innovation team”, as well as Wenzhou University Intelligent Lock Research Institute and Wenzhou University Yueqing Industrial Research Institute. The College also serves as the Secretary-General unit of Zhejiang Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance of Low-voltage Electrical Appliances.

We offer three undergraduate programs in electrical engineering and automation, electronic information science and technology, and electronic information engineering (cross-strait cooperation program). Among them, the electrical engineering and automation is rated as the national first-class undergraduate program, the outstanding engineer training program approved by the Ministry of Education, and the characteristic program of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” of Zhejiang Province. It has obtained the engineering education certification. The program of electronic information science and technology is the first-class undergraduate program in Zhejiang Province. It has Wenzhou Electronic Information Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center. The total value of experimental equipment is more than 80 million yuan.
