Wenzhou University Library was built in September 2004 by the merger of Yuying Library of the former Wenzhou University and the Library of the former Wenzhou Normal College. The current buildings include the Yuying Library on the South Campus and the Library on the North Campus, covering a total area of ??46,560 square meters. In particular, the Yuying Library on the South Campus was built with an investment of 88 million yuan. It covers the land area of ??66,700 square meters and the building area of 37,510 square meters. Today, the Library, located along the Chabai River and near the Daluo Mountain, has become the largest library in the region across eastern Fujian Province and southern Zhejiang Province. Enhanced by the picturesque scenery, the Library has become a typical academic landmark in Wenzhou Higher Education Park and attracts many visitors each year.
